Just minutes from the picturesque Darien Lake State Park, Jakkal Hill Stables is owned and operated by Lauren Johnston. Established in 2020, Jakkal Hill has already made a mark on the local, regional and rated Hunter Jumper circuits and has restarted a number of off-the-track thoroughbreds which have gone on to join the lesson program and bring home ribbons from horse shows of all levels. 

Also serving as head trainer, Lauren Johnston has over thirty years of experience in the industry. Originally from Orchard Park, NY, Lauren grew up showing on the regional A-Rated Hunter Jumper circuits. While in college, Lauren was a working student at Clemson University Equestrian Center. After graduation, she went on to manage multiple high-end boarding, training, and breeding facilities. Lauren is a licenced veterinary technician and has many years of experience teaching in the classroom setting, both of which bring a unique perspective to her coaching and training.
